Two celebrity icons are teaming with with a mega corporation and donating clothing to charity.
Elton John and Lady Gaga are now collaborating with Macy’s for a charity clothing line.
Washington’s Top News reports that the two musicians — who have teamed up on several occasions for musical performances — are now joining together in the fashion industry to help charity organizations.
Love Bravery is the limited-edition clothing line released by Sir Elton and Lady Gaga that will be available at Macy’s this spring and later this year will be available across the world.
Wholly 25% of the purchase price will go to two charity foundations: Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and Elton’s AIDS Foundation.
Love Bravery will feature shirts, sweats, and outerwear, to scarves, key chains, skateboards, backpacks, and other accessories and clothing donations. Some special donations include Lady Gag’s signature “Monster” claw, piano keys, platform shoes, sunglasses, and artistic creations of Gaga’s face.
“I love the idea of fusing who you are on the inside — your passions and dreams — with what you wear on the outside,” Elton John said. “Love Bravery is about the compassion on the inside to understand someone’s fears, and the bravery on the outside to stand up for them, and for yourself: to accept others for who they are and to be who you want to be.”
More than 4.5 billion pounds of clothing donations are made each year in the United States. Donating clothing to charity can not only help you feel good, but you can do great help for someone in need. If you have some items of clothing that you believe is “junk,” well by donating clothing to charity organizations who help people, they will be able to match that item of clothing to be someone’s new favorite piece of clothing.
“We need to make the world a kinder and braver place where men and women everywhere are empowered to live with compassion,” Gaga added. “That’s what Born This Way Foundation is all about, that’s what the Elton John AIDS Foundation is all about, and that’s what Love Bravery is all about.”
