When people conduct online searches for products and/or services, they have a variety of criteria for determining whether or not a company is credible. A recent survey found that 46% of the participants indicated that website design was the number one determining factor for them.
The time it takes to for a site to load is also an important factor. If it doesn’t load within three seconds or less, 40% of potential customers will actually leave the site and continue their search elsewhere. This is just one of the reasons why a company website needs to inform customers what they do within a brief period of time.
According to a recent study of Fortune 500 websites, the results showed that these sites had the following desirable elements:
- Content above the fold: 63%
- Some type of scrolling content window: 50%
- High-quality images with which visitors connected: 63%
- An average loading time of 6.5 seconds
When it comes to creating a positive experience for website visitors, 90% of customer experience decision makers stated that this was critical for business growth and success. These decision makers also indicated that it has become even more important to provide a good online experience for customers. According to 63% of these experts, the importance of the customer experience has definitely risen.
More companies are also choosing to have dedicated social media teams. In 2012, for example, 67% of companies had one of these teams. Just three years later in 2015, 78% of companies had a dedicated team. It’s interesting to note, however, that just eight percent of businesses have a dedicated email marketing team. This is surprising because when considering digital marketing strategies, email marketing delivers the highest return on investment.
Posting unique content on a regular basis is also effective in driving traffic to a website. In fact, when it comes to digital marketing budgets, the second-largest portion is allocated for content creation and management. When content is composed with search engine optimization in mind, then there’s a greater chance for a company or brand’s site to be at the top of the list.
Since you realize the importance of building your brand, have you considered outsourcing to a digital marketing company? If you’ve been planning to rebrand your company, rebuild your website, or improve sales through digital marketing, it makes sense to outsource these services to a digital marketing company. Given their wealth of experience, expertise, and versatility, a digital marketing company can provide your business with a variety of innovative web marketing solutions.
